The Betty Lowe Memorial Scholarship Awards The deadline for receipt of applications for the Betty Lowe Memorial Scholarship was May 29, 2013. 16 Applications were received by the deadline. The five winners of the $1000 scholarships will be announced at the June 30, 2013 annual GA AAU meeting.    2013 GA AAU Annual District Meeting June 30, 2013. Smyrna Community Center Meeting begins at 1:30PM.. The general meeting will be followed by Individual Sport Meetings. This meeting will supply the opportunity to learn more about the AAU as well as give Sport Directors the opportunity to meet with Club Owners to discuss events, rules, policies, etc., that are important to the success and growth of your sport. 2nd Annual Winter Convention
The February 2, 2013 Georgia AAU Winter Convention was a great success.
Over 85 Officers, Sport Directors and Club Owners attended this very informative event.

Information was shared on background checks, youth protection, AAU memberships and registration,
using social media to grow your clubs, AAU insurance and so much more.
To all those that participated, thank you for your participation.

Georgia AAU is proud to announce the establishment of five

$1000 scholarships to be awarded each year to five high school graduates to be used for higher education.

   2013 Scholarship Awards will be announced by Stan Lewis, chair of the Scholarship Committee, at the June 30, 2013 annual meeting.

My Child Wants to Play AAU Sports!
The My Child Wants To Play AAU Sports was developed to assist parents with finding a place for their child to play AAU Sports. AAU clubs do not report their tryout schedule to the GA AAU office.  The AAU office is not allowed to give out personal information in accordance with the current privacy laws on record.

Purpose of the program

This program gives the parents an opportunity to have a coach contact them regarding their child's participation with their team, squad, school, club, dojo and others.  The program is designed to keep the child's personal information confidential while using the parent as the contact person for communication purposes. Good Sportsmanship helps create an environment that fosters a good experience for the Athletes.
