Cheerleading

AAU does not have any clubs.  They only have club members.  These clubs join AAU in order to participate in AAU sanctioned events and to adequately insure their athletes, coaches and practice facilities.  Each club sets its own policies regarding tryout, practice, fees, goals, etc.  Some clubs host open tryouts, others are local teams that are hand picked by their local recreation groups, and some may not choose to have tryouts at all.  AAU does not govern these clubs except when they are participating in AAU sanctioned events.  Therefore, when looking for a club you should ask questions that would allow you to select a club that meets your own needs and expectations.

About AAU Cheerleading

We would like to invite you to become a part of one of the most fun filled, positive sports around. AAU Cheerleading has become a place for all athletes, both girls and boys, to learn teamwork, sportsmanship and get in shape. The AAU Cheerleading Program has activity at the District, Regional, and National levels. It is easy for you to get involved. Events such as Team Cheer, Stunt, Tumbling, Jump Division, Solo and Pom Squad are all part of the excitement.  More details, along with the AAU Cheerleading Rulebook, are available online by Clicking Here.  Be sure to log on and check out the most up-to-date information.
