This year Georgia will be having
two x-country events. I've attached information for both
of the events listed below. Currently, participation is
not at all where we need it to be. We need all AAU teams
currently registered to please get involved in these
upcoming events. Charles has went to great lengths to
secure this venue and we need to all try and be
involved.

I want to
send a heart felt thank you from AAU Georgia XC for your
participation in the Georgia Association (District)
Championship. We had some growth over last year's meet
and we hope to continue the trend. Early next week we
hope to send you all out a questionnaire regarding your
experience with the meet, any suggestions for
improvement, and things you would like to see next year.
This includes any changes that would accommodate
everyone to improve the meet.
We also provided an article of the meet on my team's
website. It includes pictures of the medalists, and a
brief article on the meet results.

We took the liberty of posting pictures of your athletes
on our site. We are aware we didn't get your permission.
It's something we want to provide for the District meet
going forward. If you or your parents do not wish to
have pictures of their athletes displayed here, please
send me an email and I will remove immediately. We
thought it would be a nice benefit for your
participation in the District meet, but we don't want to
create problems for ourselves or you.
We have some great things in store for next year. We
will provide that information in next week's email.

The Betty Lowe Memorial
Scholarship Awards
Georgia AAU is proud to announce the
establishment of six
$500 scholarships to be awarded
each year to six high school graduates to be used for higher
education.
2012 Scholarship Awards announced by Stan Lewis,
chair of the scholarship committee, at the May 20, 2012 annual meeting.
